another view of the screened porch

This is a side view of the screened porch on the back of the house.

shingles!

This is the screened porch, as viewed from the living room.


The roof shingles have been installed, so you can get an idea of the color.

We are roofing!

We met with the plumber today and he has started. The roofer is there also. You can seem them in the photo above moving shingles to the roof with a lift that rides on the ladder.




These are the stairs from the lower floor up to the main floor as viewed from my work shop.



This view is from the lake looking at the rear of the house. The framing you see will be the screened porch.

This is the cabinet that Richard is going to make stained glass for the two upper doors. It is solid heart pine and heavy. There will be a bar sink on the right hand side.



This small chest is going to be in the hall bathroom with a bowl on top for a sink.


Stay tuned! Next week, the screen porch roof will be done and they will be installing the shingles. Also, we will do the 1st walk through with the elec/plumb/hvac guys.

The framing crew started on the roof on Fri (1-9-09) and say the roof should be up in a week or so. We are picking out electrical fixtures and flooring so it is starting to come together!

They are starting to frame the main floor.
